Toronto based photographer Scott Johnston specializes in bringing a new perspective to the familiar. The simple choice of a subject to photograph and making decisions as to what to include and exclude, tells a lot about the photographer's perspective.
But the impact of the photo on the viewer is just as powerful, given his or her experiences, feelings and opinions about the world. As Johnston puts it, "we never look at just one thing... we are always looking at the relationship between things and ourselves."
